Pastel Love ~ Styling Inspiration
Trent & Denise | October 20, 2018 | Mount Isa Golf Club
Denise and I, were actually childhood friends, we spent many grueling and fun hours inside a humid martial arts hall pouring ourselves into one of our loves ~ Sikaran.
It was until Denise contacted AME, that we were able to rekindle spirits... and rekindle we did. Our meetings, which usually run around half an hour with clients would turn into hour and half sessions of stories, passions and laughs.
The initial plan for Denise and Trent's special day was minimalist, letting nature speak for her beautiful self and compliment with soft pastel florals. Denise boasted of a treasure trove of vintage jars and vases that she and her Dad had collected. We were to use all of these different jars and vases throughout the Reception decor to create a rustic juxtaposition.
During the planning stages, Denise's Father fell ill and a few months on passed away. I will always remember Denise's Dad with a warm smile on his face and noticed he was never far from Denise's Mum, usually the two were holding hands.
Learning this news broke my heart and I would have been more then understanding if Denise had wished to postpone the occasion.
Through her strength, I'm sure Denise knew her Dad would be there every step of the way. In that, the incredible day went ahead.
Guest numbers grew - no worries.
Ideas evolved - absolutely, no worries.
We added florals into the initial simplistic Ceremony, added white cherry blossoms into the tree feature and decided to go with the amphitheatre shape for the seating so each guest could the best intimate view.
Guests were welcomed to a Cocktail Style Lawn Games area out on the Golf Club Green, children had their own 'kids area' and 120 adults were seated inside the Golf Club Venue and treated to a Buffet Dinner, catered by the Terrace Gardens team.
We created a hanging floral feature above the dancefloor to create a wow for the arriving guests, as well as a centrepiece for the venue. This worked a treat as Bride, Groom and their guests danced the night away under the rightfully named 'dancing orchids'.
Enjoy some snaps from the special day, provided by Sarah Louise Photography . Sarah and I both agree that Denise and Trent were incredible to work alongside with.
Wishing the newly weds all the best on their journey through life together x
